Preparing for surgery with local

Items to bring with you: Referral Slip, list of medications you are taking, medical or dental insurance cards, estimated cost you were given.
If you are on any blood thinners, or have any heart or lung problems, notify the office and we will give further instructions.
If you have any artificial joints or heart valves you will need to pre-medicate, notify our office and we will coordinate those prescriptions.

Preparing for surgery with IV sedation

Items to bring with you: Referral Slip, list of medications you are taking, medical or dental insurance cards, estimated cost you were given.
Do not eat or drink anything (including water) for 8 hours before surgery. If you are on any GLP-1/weight loss injections notify our office and we will give you further instructions.

Arrange for a responsible adult to drive you to the appointment, remain in the office, drive you home following surgery, and stay with you the next 24 hours. If under 18, you will need a parent or guardian with you. You will not be able to take a taxi or a bus.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing with short sleeves or sleeves that can be rolled up to allow access for monitors and IV lines.
Remove contact lenses, jewelry, and nail polish or acrylic nails on the day of surgery.
